![]() ![]() Comes w/worn reading copy of the book this art is featured on. Scattered edge/corner tip wear, but art remains clean and would display Exc. Artboard has Kelly's preliminary blue pencil art/lettering visible in areas w/additional notes in blue pencil at lower left. Both overlay and artboard have aged printer's centering tape at margins. Bridgeport Bear's jacket and spats, Albert's hat and Pogo's hat and sweater as well as additional accents amongst the lettering. This has had hand-painted red accents added as they appear on the book itself, including to "Greetings" text, P.T. Artboard has frosted acetate overlay attached w/tape along left and is marked "100% Red" at bottom center. Facsimile letter has "Simon And Schuster" names at bottom. We were in a bar called the Orient Room, way up on a street along. Amongst the hand-lettered text are a number of small hands pointing to key points, including "Gone Pogo" book title. here was a minor problem with what Walt Kelly said on the afternoon I heard him say it. ![]() Text relates to book content in typical back cover fashion, but w/Kelly's whimsical flair.
